As the primary option for Iowa’s offense, Clark led her team to a historic victory over the Michigan Wolverines. Clark’s performance broke the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball scoring record, with 3,569 career points, breaking the previous record in flamboyant fashion with a three-pointer from the logo. Along with breaking the NCAA Women’s Basketball scoring record, she is only 98 points behind Pete Maravich’s All-Time NCAA scoring record. Additionally, Clark broke Iowa’s single-game record with her 49-point turnout.
Clark’s influence has been felt throughout this whole season, after making a championship run in the Women’s tournament in 2023, but falling short to the LSU Tigers. Clark has brought in many new viewers to women’s basketball, evident in last night’s game. Iowa’s game against Michigan broke the attendance record for Division I women’s basketball having 55,646 fans turn out.
