About

The Poolesville Pulse is Poolesville High School’s student-run newspaper. In 2016, PHS’s journalism class was turned into a club run by editors Julia Rich, Sachi Howson, and Michael Gross along with sponsor Mrs. Stephanie Gomer. The club began with the three editors as the only members and quickly gained over 45 staff members. In 2018, journalism was brought back as a full-time class as well as club, and now enjoys the benefits of having an online publication. Currently, our editors and staff writers are excited for the transition back to in-person school, and are ready to get writing! Thank you for visiting our website and enjoy. Go Falcons!

Mission Statement:

The Poolesville Pulse provides captivating, well-researched, and reliable news coverage that encourages discussion and constructive debate . It will hold integrity and be relevant and enjoyable to students and Poolesville community alike. We aim to get students connected and engaged about what is happening around the community.

Editor-In-Chief: Anna Bodmer
