About

The Poolesville Pulse

The Poolesville Pulse is Poolesville High School’s student-run newspaper. In 2016, PHS’s journalism class was turned into a club run by editors Julia Rich, Sachi Howson, and Michael Gross along with sponsor Mrs. Stephanie Gomer. The club began with the three editors as the only members and has quickly gained over 45 staff members. Our editors and staff writers are excited for the transition to an extracurricular club as well as having an online source.  Thank you for visiting our website and enjoy. In 2018, journalism was brought back as a full-time class as well as club. Go Falcons!

Mission Statement:

The Poolesville Pulse provides accurate, relevant, and timely information to engage, empower, inform, and inspire the school and local community in an unbiased, easily accessible, and entertaining manner through the use of multiple forms of media. We hope to appeal to a wide range of interests through a variety of subjects.
