Poolesville day returns
On Saturday, Sep. 18, Poolesville will be hosting its 29th annual Poolesville Day. Poolesville Day was canceled last year due to COVID-19, but now it will be back on, with a myriad of entertainers and activities, including a Poolesville High School (PHS) teacher dunk tank, and musical and dance performances from both PHS and John Poole Middle School (JPMS). Due to COVID-19, some changes have been made to ensure safety, including the removal of the normal “bouncy houses;” the use of hand sanitizer after rides; the inclusion of stations with masks, wipes, and hand sanitizer; the implementation of extra space around vendor tables; and the strong recommendation of masks. The event starts at 8:00 a.m. with the Poolesville Day 5k, and the annual Parade follows two hours later at 10:00 a.m. The event is open to everyone of all ages; visit the Poolesville Day Website for more details.
