Gallery Night 2019: Societal Plagues
On Nov. 26th, Humanities freshmen created and displayed works of art, music, literature, technology, food, and fashion connected to the umbrella theme of Societal Plagues. Each individual student curated a work that developed their understanding of a specific “plague.”
The freshmen worked hard to put their pieces together and form an exciting night for parents and friends. The Pulse talked to freshman Anna Bodmer, who curated a photography piece on toxic masculinity.
“I found the most exciting part of Gallery Night to be seeing all the hard work everyone put in come together. We all worked really hard so it was really cool to see that our effort turned into something amazing,” Bodmer noted.
Gallery Night is an annual event put on by the freshmen in the Humanities house. A tradition that started in 2017, it is a way for students to portray their creativity to staff, friends, and family.
