Bear caught in 4k
A new student was seen walking towards Poolesville High School (PHS) at 6:04 AM on Wednesday, September 13, but slightly more fuzzy than a typical high school student. Camera footage from a local Poolesville resident caught a bear wandering around West Willard Road. While its rush to get to class is understandable, the shock has many PHS students reeling online.
“[Global Ecology Studies Program] students look wilder every year,” Global sophomore Brianna Akuamoah-Boateng commented on the Moco Show’s Instagram repost of the bear footage.
The last notable sighting of a bear in Poolesville was around six years ago, leaving many to speculate where the bear came from, and why it’s so interested in attending PHS.
